ABOUT

ABOUT

Professional translators always work on texts that represent certain special fields: technical or technologically oriented texts, business texts, legal texts, and so on. Any qualified translator can only master a limited number of such special fields, and will therefore decline translation offers which fall outside their  competence. Unqualified, unprofessionally working persons only pretending to be translators surprisingly often agree to attempt translations outside their competences - and it shows, unfortunately. With me, you never need to worry about the quality of the service you're buying: I only accept translation offers which I know I can handle professionally from start to finish.

My special fields are technical translation (esp. manuals, operating instructions, and handbooks), business translation (esp. marketing and media), legal translation (esp. taxation and administration), and translation related to humanities (esp. pedagogy, education, language and linguistics, intercultural communication).

If you would like to receive a sample or two representing my work in any of these special fields or a reference from a former or existing customer of mine, please feel free to contact me any time and ask for a sample or  a reference (please click on Contact above).
